Personality:
He's the type of guy that could rattle off every single one of his own negative traits, but the moment he was asked to name a positive he'd blank out. This bad boy can fit so much self-loathing.
Juza spends a lot of time thinking and overthinking what he's done, his own reputation, and how that reputation might hurt the people around him. Even though he thinks so much, only a small portion of what he thinks actually comes out. If he makes a mistake, no matter how small it might be, he has the tendency to remember it for years.
Juza cares deeply for his family. He's often thinking about them and how to keep them safe. When he goes out to look at sweets, one of the first things on his mind is to get something for his cousin. He also has a little brother that he's extremely protective over. Though he is still clumsy with his words, he would do everything possible to try and protect the people he loves. Sometimes that means distancing himself and accidentally hurting their relationship in the process.
While he's afraid to hurt people who are important to him, he's often clumsy in what he says and ends up hurting them by accident. For example, trying to say that his cousin shouldn't spend time around him because Juza is considered a delinquent, but in practice? He that his cousin should just stop hanging around him, accidentally hurting his feelings. He felt too awkward to go after him, and so he lived with that mistake.
Even if he's on neutral terms with somebody, if he has the ability to help them out somehow, he will. One of his fellow actors in the company is a famous for being in dramas and movies. Juza often provides him bodyguard services. Essentially he's just standing there, and most people find him intimidating enough they won't approach. He never asks for anything in return.
Juza does not like himself. He was very aware that most people didn't like him growing up, that his appearance and demeanor meant he was unapproachable. Fellow schoolchildren and teachers always kept him at a distance, and he simply bowed his head and accepted that. Juza didn't have the social skills to close the gap that just kept growing. The entire reason he wanted to get into acting in the first place, was because if he was acting, he could be "somebody else, anybody but this guy right here."
Because of the way he looks, people kept challenging him to fights throughout his middle school and high school years. They're stranger so he never really felt bad about fighting them. Juza's never started a fight, but he absolutely knows how to end one. However, he's largely stopped fighting. Before Mankai, the only person's reputation he'd damage is his own. Now that he's in Mankai, he doesn't want anything criminal getting back to the theater that gave him a chance. He usually attempts to avoid anybody who would try to pick a fight with him, but if he's unable to, he just takes all the punches and kicks without retaliating.
Juza is a member of the Autumn Troupe of Mankai. They span a wide range of ages and temperaments, but something that every one of them shares is an intense competitive drive. The successes of their fellow members are both congratulated and something to be overcome. He never tears down the people around him, but he always uses their success to fuel his own drive for self-improvement.
He's so passionate that it ends up overflowing and affecting the people around him. It's never his goal to change how other people feel. However, the mole seeing his passion about acting makes the mole in the company feel terrible about what he's done, convinces his leader to stay in the troupe, and inspires everyone else in his troupe to be more honest and sincere in following their own passions and dreams.
Abilities & Skills:
Brawling: Because he's had a bad reputation since middle school, he's proficient in brawling. Juza knows how to throw a punch and he's still undefeated.
Lifting heavy objects: He works on stage, and sometimes he ends up doing backstage work or being asked to handle heavier objects that other members aren't able to move.
Stamina: As a member of Autumn Troupe, he does a lot of action heavy plays.
Acting: He's an actor. A passable beginner that could use more time to polish and shine on stage. It takes him a while to really understand the role he's given, but he's good at empathizing with them and bringing them to life.
Calligraphy: It's his hidden talent. He's great at calligraphy work.
General history: It's his favorite school subject.
Inventory/Companions:
He has nothing on him except for this outfit along with the prop guns.
Choice: Monster, grizzly bear turnskin.
Reason: He's already a big dude who is uncomfortable with his looks. Turning into a large animal in his shifted form will be another thing he'll need to accept about himself. Additionally, he's very loyal and protective over the people he considers his own.
Also this happens.

サンドキャッスルナイト
There is a small pink haired boy, maybe 3 or 4 years younger, making a sandcastle. The weather is good for a moment, a few more, and suddenly a heavy rain begins. The rest of his family picks up their bags and rushes it under the roof, but Juza sees the sandcastle. He desperately attempts to keep it upright, together, complete.
The wind and the rain make it impossible, the castle collapses under his hands.
The moment it does, that same pink haired boy is there right behind Juza when he turns around. His voice is soft and apologetic, his expression dejected. "Ju-chan... E-hehe... that's right, a castle made out of something like sand, pathetic, isn't it?"
Juza stares up at him, unable to respond, unable to form the words he wants.
"Don't worry about it! Ju-chan, you'll catch a cold if you don't get out of the rain soon."
That other boy walks away, and Juza is left kneeling next to the sandcastle he feels he destroyed.
Inciting Incident
They stand at the top of the steps. The bully keeps talking and talking, trying to get a rise out of him. Juza's desperately trying to ignore this boy's goading. He doesn't want to fight.
Finally something the bully says becomes clear as crystal, "Want me to get your little brother first?"
Juza's expression shifts from somebody who wants nothing to do with this to pissed. He clenches his fist and glares at this bully. This bully who was standing right at the edge of the stairs and falls straight down them.
The bully wails and wails and a teacher comes running up.
The memory cuts out and comes back in the principal's office. Juza's mother is bowing her head to the bully's parents. The other kid broke a bone.
Juza doesn't have a single scratch on him, and the bully said it was his fault. Of course the teachers believed it was a one-sided fight. It wasn't the bully's fault at all, according to these adults.
His mother listens to what the teachers and the parents say, her hand gripping Juza's and shaking the whole time. Juza notices and his expression shifts into something ashamed and frustrated. This was his fault, he hated himself for hurting her, he hated the bully's parents for not understanding. He shakes off his mother's hand and runs.

Runaway
Eventually a soft voice calls out to him. "-chan. Nii-chan."
He looks up and he sees his mother and his little brother looking 2 years younger than him.
"Let's go home, nii-chan. Let's go home and eat anmitsu together."
Juza doesn't move for a moment, but his little brother takes his left hand and pulls him to their mother.
